Maryland Madness Will Be Held At Cole

October 11, 2013- It has been eleven years since Wilcox played for the Terps but he still remembers Maryland Madness like it was yesterday. This year Maryland Madness will take place on October 18th at the Legendary Cole Field House. The last time Cole Field House was played in was the 2001-2002 season when Wilcox helped lead the Terps to a NCAA National Championship.
Wilcox Hosted 5th Annual Charity Golf Outing

September 12, 2013. Chris Wilcox hosted a successful Power Forward to Save Lives Charity Golf Outing on Monday, September 9, 2013 at The Hasentree Club in Wake Forest, NC. This was the 5th consecutive year for the Outing and the first year in the Raleigh area. Proceeds will fund research for The Lupus Foundation of America, North Carolina Chapter and The Mid-Atlantic Affiliate of the American Heart Association. Tragically, Chris lost two aunts to complications from Lupus and his sister Tehesia suffers from this debilitating autoimmune disease that has no known cause or cure. Wilcox experienced his own health crisis in 2012 when team doctors discovered that he had an enlarged aorta requiring immediate surgery, thus ending his season. Chris has since made it his personal mission to educate others about heart health.
Wilcox Hosts 12th Annual Basketball Camp

July 15, 2013. Whiteville, NC--The 12th Annual Chris Wilcox Basketball Camp packed the Whiteville High School and Central Middle School Gymnasiums the week of July 8th through the 12th. With help from Whiteville High School and the Whiteville Recreation Department, the Camp had another successful turnout.

June 24, 2013. To maintain his professional basketball career, it has always been important to Chris Wilcox to live a healthy lifestyle, but it was not until he had a life threatening experience of his own that he became passionate about spreading awareness and sharing this message with others. June was National Men’s Health Month and the “Wear Blue in June” campaign was created by the Congressional Health and Education Program to promote men’s health issues. The purpose of the June initiative is to heighten awareness for preventable health problems and encourage detection and treatment of disease among men and boys.
